The Butte County Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters strives to communicate with, and make public data available to all users, on all devices. We aim to comply with Section 508, WCAG 2.0 and WAI ARIA 1.0 draft standards. Our site has been reviewed by the Center for Independent Living and passed their usability and assistive technology testing.

Even though we attempt to meet at least minimum accessibility best practices, this website also contains links to historical files, legacy web based applications, and external sites that may not be in compliance. We hope to improve upon this in the future by working with vendors to upgrade their technologies to output reports, and create user interfaces that meet standards. This is in addition to the effort of updating existing content, and continual monitoring to maintain compliance. There may be instances where the content is entirely beyond our control.
